Do you need to get information to plan a tour for your band in Northern Scandinavia? Or you just want to know what is happening in your town? This is the place for you. Here you’ll find information about the northern scene, bands, organizers, venues, gigs, happenings.. everything! This site is still in progress and developing so let’s see what has happened in couple of years from now. If you are interrested to do more, please come and join United Punk Scene of Northern Scandinavia – we need you and your support to make this scene alive!

Even though we are now talking about PUNK in Lapland, this doesn’t mean that it is only about punk-music. Almost all kind of music is welcome when it’s made with D.I.Y attitude. Our activity is not limited to music either, we assist all kind of cultural activities and workshops. Firstly we are helping people from our area, but also bands who are planning to take a tour and give a good show for us. There is now one place where all needed information is shown.

And why did it all begin? Band and gig exchange has been between Rovaniemi, Oulu and Luleå from late 90’s. At spring of 2006 there was underground festival called Rokufest held in Rovaniemi. During that evening Pasi from Rovaniemi and Sven from Luleå started to plan website with forum for punk-people from Northern Sweden and Finland. Surprisingly Jani from Oulu had also same kind of plans in his mind to put up a website for all Lapland punks, including Norway too. Because ideas were basically the same these two were now combined together and so was the Punk in Lapland-project born. Like said before, there has been northern collaboration for long time already and we hope that this site will unite our scene more…
